Focus of the Week: Process for Raising Concerns

At ÌÇÐÄvlogÆÆ½â°æ College, our values shape the way we live, learn, and interact.

When concerns arise, it is important that they are raised through the correct pathways so that they can be addressed in the most effective and timely manner. 

Our Customer Care Procedure provides a clear process:

  1. Speak to your child’s Class Teacher first — They know your child best and can usually resolve most issues quickly.
  2. If further support is needed, please email your concern (with all relevant facts) to cc@alsiraat.vic.edu.au.
  3. Acknowledgement — You will receive confirmation that your concern has been received.
  4. Investigation — Your concern will be forwarded to the appropriate team, and we will provide you with an expected timeframe where possible.
  5. Resolution — The outcome will be communicated to you via email once the investigation is complete.

By following this process, we ensure that matters are handled with fairness, respect, and diligence. This allows us to work in partnership with families, always keeping the wellbeing of our students at the centre of everything we do.

We kindly remind families that all communication with staff – whether in person, over the phone, or in writing – should remain courteous and respectful at all times. 

Let us remember when we engage positively and follow the right steps, we not only resolve concerns effectively, but we also model to our children the values of patience, respect, and responsible citizenship.
