VET Community Services Students Visit Northpoint Residents

3 July 2025

As part of their Certificate II in Community Services, our Year 10–11 students at ÌÇÐÄvlogÆƽâ°æ College recently embraced a hands-on learning experience with a heartwarming visit to Aeralife Northpoint aged care residence.

VET Community Services Students Visit Northpoint Residents

Situated just minutes from Epping’s town centre, Aeralife Northpoint offers a beautifully designed space filled with natural light and scenic views of surrounding wetlands and walking trails. The setting provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our students, who were honoured to engage with the residents and experience real-world community service in action.

The excursion offered far more than a chance to complete assessment tasks. It provided students with a meaningful opportunity to build relationships, demonstrate empathy, and contribute positively to the wellbeing of others. Throughout the visit, students ran a variety of interactive activities, including board games, bowling, puzzles, and word searches. Laughter and lively conversation filled the room, reflecting the genuine connections made during the day.

To conclude the visit, students offered heartfelt gestures of appreciation by presenting residents with flowers, chocolates, and handwritten thank you cards. Their thoughtfulness left behind smiles, special memories, and new friendships that truly captured the spirit of community service.
